VDL EXPERT COLOR EYESHADOW PALETTE PANTONE 21 ALL COLORS SWATCH REVIEW
Now, that we’re done with 2020, and are officially in the new year,
I believe it’s time for us to take a look at the color of the year.
Pantone is a global color company
that selects the color of the year, yearly,
with many brands marketing with that color.
VDL in collaboration with Pantone
release a variety of products with the
yearly Color of the Year.
Now, let me introduce the my yearly most anticipated
VDL + Pantone’s Eyeshadow Palette.
Personally, I find this package to look the prettiest
and most luxurious among all the VDL palettes I’ve seen so far.
Upon opening the lid,
we’re presented with twelve different, very colorful colors.
Along with 2021’s color of the year, to allow for trendy makeup,
this palette also comes with daily colors, allowing for daily makeup as well.
The palette consists of Mattes, Shimmers, Glitters,
glitter balms, and Mirage Cubics, a total of five different formulations
allowing for one to create new and vivid eye stylings every day.
I can’t wait to try playing around with these colors
Applying all the colors on to my arm first,
the overall color development of all the colors were pretty good.
In particular, the sparkle of the glitters and the adhesion are really nice,
so I think they’ll look really pretty when used for makeup.
VDL’s Pantone 21 Eyeshadow Palette
With great adhesion and color development.
Now, let me check out how each color looks on my eye one by one.
SHOOTING STAR [GLITTER
The finely glowing pearl-like shooting star
can be used on the eyelids,
but is also a very color when used on the head of the eyes.
SPRING EMBRACE [MATTE]
This is a color that looks great as a base color.
It is a subtle, yet vibrant color
CINAMMON FRAGRANCE [MATTE]
This looks to be a good shade color.
This color alone can be used to create an atmospheric look.
GOLDEN SAND [GLITTER]
While this is a nice color to be used on the eyelids,
I personally think it can be used as a nice point
after applying on shade makeup.
OLD TOWN BRICK [SHIMMER]
This is a reddish shade with a slight vintage vibe.
I find it to be very pretty when used along with a yellow color.
ROSE CLAY [MATTE]
Rose Clay is a good color for creating a subtle and atmospheric eye look.
It looks really nice when applied on the entire eyelid,
and looks pretty when applied widely on the under area.
ILLUMINATING HOPE [MATTE]
The color of the year!
Some of you may be wondering how to make use of this yellow color.
The color appears to be like that of a slightly strong canary color by itself,
but when set with a powder, it becomes a clear looking yellow color.
ULTIMATE GLITTER [GLITTER BOMB]
When the color of the year Ultimate Gray meets glitter!
They’ve added some reddish glitters here and there in the mix.
This shade gives off a clear and gorgeous feel when applied on the eyelids.
COZY SAND [MATTE]
This color works great as a base color.
It looks great when used to fill in the crease of your eyes,
and even for shading your nose.
FANTASY MARBLE [MIRAGE CUBIC]
This gorgeous mirage cubic shade is a pretty color.
When applying it on, if you increase the proportion of white used,
it becomes brighter, whereas if the proportion of pink is increased,
the color looks softer.
SKY LANTERN [MATTE]
This is quite a reddish matte shadow.
While it does go great with other colors,
it’s a color that is charming and captivating enough by itself.
This is dark brown shimmer shadow that shines softly.
When applied on, it really reflects the color of extremely fertile land.
Here’s a collage of all 12 color colors applied.
Honestly, I really find the composition of this eyeshadow palette to be quite good.
With colors that are good for daily use,
and colors that are good as point colors,
it makes itself to be quite a useful palette.
I tried creating both a cold and a warm eye look.
Both looks uses one of the Color of the Year shades.
The look on the top uses the Color of the Year, Illuminating,
while for the look below, I used the Ultimate Gray color glitter.
Those who prefer subtle makeup may find this palette a little difficult to use
as the colors appear to be more suitable for colorful makeup
rather than the usually soft makeup.
Whether you’re someone who enjoys colors that stand out,
or if you’re someone who collects all the VDL + Pantone eye shadows like I do,
I highly recommend that you try this palette out.
While I understand everyone’s preference differ,
as the colors are very good,
I do really hope that many people will check this out palette out 😊
